Back in the days

from 2012 to 2016

Founded in 2012, nonbasique started as a creative venture, far removed from the world of streetwear. Back then, we focused on digital productions and design, driven by big dreams and a passion for empowering our customers to take charge of their own creativity. Over the years, those small beginnings evolved into something greater: a brand with a bold vision, one that celebrates individuality, style, and the rhythm of life.

2016 to 2020, things changed and we up'd our game

In 2020, after years of ideation, nonbasique launched its first online store within the fashion industry, then called heartlegs. It was run by a dedicated brother-and-sister team, Tom Danny and Fay Malén, who poured their energy into every detail—from designing collections and running photoshoots to managing orders and marketing. This hands-on approach shaped the brand into what it is today: a vibrant celebration of creativity and style. During this journey, we even collaborated with Champion on the iconic h x c collection, which remains one of our most celebrated achievements.

the break of 2022

so... we had a break. we promise. we were on a break and we didn't fool around with other clothes. then came february of 2024, exactly two years on the day.

As we grew, so did our perspective. Our original name no longer reflected our bold, forward-thinking vision. We needed something unique—something not basic. Inspired by our European roots and driven by a mission to redefine urban streetwear, nonbasique was born on the 20th of Feb. 2024. Today, stationed in both Spain and Scandinavia with strong ties to France, nonbasique continues to honor its heritage while creating the future of fashion.
